Product Features
EPS provides high thermal insulation and excellent energy absorption thanks to its closed cell structure. Although it is lightweight, it is very durable and shows good resistance to pressure. It has good water resistance, but can absorb water during prolonged exposure. Furthermore, EPS is a low-cost material and can be easily shaped and produced in a variety of sizes. The fact that it is recyclable is an advantage for environmentally friendly applications.
EPS is used in building insulation systems (facade insulation, roof insulation), packaging materials (for the protection of sensitive products), shock-absorbing packaging, and various consumer products such as disposable food containers and bottle caps. It is also widely used in water sports equipment such as swimming boards and life jackets.
